Kuwait’s Ministry of Defence revealed that 67 members of the Kuwaiti Armed Forces sustained injuries during recent security events. The injured personnel are currently receiving medical care, with their conditions reported as stable. The Defence Ministry’s spokesperson, Saud Al-Atwan, highlighted that the Armed Forces are on high alert, continuously monitoring developments in collaboration with military and security entities.
Al-Atwan emphasized that Kuwait’s defense systems have successfully intercepted 212 ballistic missiles and 394 drones that were launched in attacks on the country’s airspace. These actions are part of a comprehensive national strategy to safeguard the nation’s security and protect its citizens and residents. In a separate incident, joint Israeli and US strikes on Tehran and other Iranian cities resulted in casualties, prompting retaliatory missile and drone attacks from Iran.
Furthermore, Qatar recently thwarted an attack by downing two Iranian military aircraft and intercepting multiple missiles and drones. The Qatari Defence Ministry, in a statement, disclosed that their air defense systems, in coordination with the air force and navy, neutralized seven ballistic missiles and five drones, averting any harm or damage. The ministry affirmed Qatar’s readiness to defend its sovereignty against external threats decisively.
In a unified stance, the United Arab Emirates, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Jordan, Kuwait, and the US condemned strikes targeting various Middle Eastern nations, including the Kurdistan Region of Iraq.
