Legendary music composer Pyarelal, part of the iconic Laxmikant-Pyarelal duo, is grieving the loss of his wife, Sunila Pyarelal Sharma, who passed away at the age of 78 on July 12. Singer Priyanka Mitra shared the sad news of Sunila Sharma’s demise through a heartfelt social media post.
Sunila Sharma, affectionately known as Amma, was described as a symbol of grace, devotion, and quiet strength by her family. Her peaceful passing was acknowledged with love and grief, with the family finding solace in her newfound peace. The family expressed gratitude for the support and prayers received during this difficult time.
The funeral of Sunila Pyarelal Sharma is scheduled to be held at Dattatray Road Crematorium in Santacruz (West), Mumbai, on July 13. Pyarelal, the renowned music composer, was part of the celebrated duo Laxmikant-Pyarelal and is a prominent figure in Indian cinema. His musical collaborations with Laxmikant Shantaram Kudalkar have left an indelible mark on Bollywood over five decades.
Pyarelal’s contributions to Hindi cinema include timeless music for movies like ‘Bobby’, ‘Karz’, ‘Amar Akbar Anthony’, ‘Satyam Shivam Sundaram’, ‘Mr. India’, ‘Hero’, ‘Ram Lakhan’, ‘Tezaab’, ‘Ek Duuje Ke Liye’, and ‘Utsav’, among others.
