Looking to enhance the anti-TB campaign and first-aid training in Delhi, Lieutenant Governor T.S. Sandhu recently assessed the operations of the Red Cross Society, Delhi Branch, and the St. John Ambulance Association. Sandhu discussed ways to boost the institutional capacity of these organizations.
During the meeting, Sandhu explored avenues for providing resources, including through CSR partnerships, to support the future initiatives of the Red Cross Society and the St. John Ambulance Association. Sandhu emphasized the importance of these institutions’ humanitarian services in delivering essential healthcare, emergency response, and relief to those in need.
Sandhu highlighted the need for a comprehensive overhaul to improve efficiency, strengthen institutional capacity, and enhance service delivery. Discussions also focused on making the St. John Ambulance services more effective and responsive, with an emphasis on ensuring the availability of well-trained personnel.
The Lieutenant Governor pledged full support to the Red Cross Society and the St. John Ambulance Association in expanding their humanitarian initiatives, such as the Pradhan Mantri TB Mukt Abhiyan, first-aid training programs, winter relief operations, and assistance for Divyangjans. Sandhu assured them of assistance in securing resources, including CSR partnerships, for their future endeavors.
