He mentioned Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s advocacy for a healthy lifestyle and the global integration of Yoga into daily routines. Birla underlined the significance of adopting Yoga and sustainable practices for a disease-free life. The Central government’s initiatives to strengthen the healthcare system, expand medical infrastructure, increase medical college seats, and launch programs like Ayushman Bharat were also acknowledged.
Birla emphasized the role of the private sector in establishing new medical colleges, enhancing medical infrastructure, and prioritizing research alongside disease treatment. He urged medical professionals and institutions to be prepared for existing and emerging diseases. India’s progress in medical research and innovation was highlighted, emphasizing the need for further advancements in these areas.
Recognizing India’s self-reliance in healthcare during the pandemic, Birla praised Indian scientists for their contributions to vaccine development. He called for collaborative efforts between the government and private sector to advance research, science, technology, and combat emerging diseases. Birla also stressed the establishment of research and innovation centers in educational institutions to address future healthcare challenges effectively.
