A luxury car crash in Vadodara’s Raopura area caused significant damage to public property. The incident occurred when the vehicle, traveling from Jubilee Baug towards Raopura, hit a traffic signal pole after mounting the central divider. Despite the severe impact, no injuries were reported as the airbags deployed during the crash.
Eyewitnesses mentioned that the collision disrupted traffic briefly, with locals gathering to assist at the scene. Shailesh Mistry, a nearby temple priest, attributed the accident to reckless driving and suggested the possibility of the vehicle being involved in a race.
The crash uprooted the traffic signal pole, leading to additional damage. The driver reportedly abandoned the vehicle and fled before the police arrived. Raopura Police registered a case of negligent driving and a separate complaint for the damage to public property. Efforts are ongoing to identify the driver and the current owner of the vehicle, which was sold over a year ago.
Authorities are reviewing CCTV footage and collecting evidence to determine the driver’s identity at the time of the crash. Investigations are considering factors like overspeeding, intoxication, or mechanical failure that may have contributed to the incident. Further inquiries are in progress.
