Chief Minister Mohan Yadav praised the increasing number of Madhya Pradesh candidates succeeding in the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) examination, highlighting the state’s evolving landscape. Speaking at a felicitation event for the 61 successful candidates from Madhya Pradesh who cleared the UPSC 2025 examination, Yadav commended their determination and capability. He emphasized that these candidates are pivotal in shaping a developed and self-reliant India by 2047, underscoring the responsibility that accompanies their success.

Yadav expressed that the selected candidates bear the crucial responsibility of driving the welfare and development of millions of Madhya Pradesh citizens. He viewed their entry into the administrative services of the world’s largest democracy as a significant opportunity, emphasizing the democratic principle of ascending to top positions through public trust. Additionally, he cautioned about the importance of effectively implementing policies and programs at the grassroots level, drawing attention to past instances of challenges faced by successful candidates.

Anupam Rajan, the Additional Chief Secretary of the Higher Education Department of Madhya Pradesh, disclosed that a total of 958 candidates were chosen nationwide in the Civil Services Examination, with 61 hailing from Madhya Pradesh. Notably, 22 of the state’s successful candidates received their education from government institutions. Rajan highlighted the diverse representation of candidates from smaller towns like Sohagpur and Sironj, indicating a growing interest among the state’s youth in pursuing civil services. He also noted a shift in the perception that civil services preparation necessitates studying exclusively in national-level institutions or relocating to major cities like Delhi or Indore.
