Anupam Rajan, the Additional Chief Secretary of the Higher Education Department of Madhya Pradesh, disclosed that a total of 958 candidates were chosen nationwide in the Civil Services Examination, with 61 hailing from Madhya Pradesh. Notably, 22 of the state’s successful candidates received their education from government institutions. Rajan highlighted the diverse representation of candidates from smaller towns like Sohagpur and Sironj, indicating a growing interest among the state’s youth in pursuing civil services.
