Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav took action by removing Sidhi Collector Swarochit Somvanshi and Guna Superintendent of Police (SP) Ankit Soni in two distinct incidents. Ankit Soni was ousted from his position due to a hawala-related issue where police allegedly seized around Rs 1 crore from a trader’s vehicle but returned a portion after a bribe. This move came after an internal probe initiated by senior officials, including DIG-rank officers.
Hitika Vasal, the current Commandant of the 15th Battalion in Indore, has been appointed as the new Superintendent of Police for Guna. Additionally, Chief Minister Yadav removed Sidhi Collector Swarochit Somvanshi following complaints from public representatives during a district visit. The Chief Minister interacted with locals to evaluate governance and the execution of government schemes at the grassroots level.
CM Yadav addressed complaints raised by citizens and requested feedback on district administration and departmental operations. He also suspended District Cooperative Bank General Manager P.S. Dhanwal promptly based on the received complaints. Emphasizing the state’s commitment to good governance, CM Yadav stated that negligence by officials and employees would not be tolerated.
Expressing dissatisfaction with the slow progress of the under-construction Collectorate building in Sidhi, CM Yadav instructed officials to expedite the work for timely completion while ensuring quality standards.
