Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav transferred more than Rs 3,300 crore to the bank accounts of over 82 lakh farmers under the Mukhyamantri Kisan Kalyan Yojana during the ‘Balram Krishi Mahotsav’ in Khandwa district. The amount was transferred through a single-click system at the state-level programme held at the new Agricultural Produce Market complex in Khandwa.
Addressing farmers from across the state, CM Yadav expressed the government’s commitment to strengthening the agriculture sector and ensuring farmers’ welfare through various schemes and financial assistance. He congratulated all the farmers of the state and assured them of the government’s unwavering support in all circumstances.
CM Yadav also honored progressive farmers from Khandwa district for their innovations, hard work, and significant contributions to agriculture. Before the event, he visited an exhibition displaying modern agricultural technologies, farm machinery, and stalls by different government departments.
The financial aid provided under the Mukhyamantri Kisan Kalyan Yojana is aimed at helping farmers cover agricultural expenses and encouraging the adoption of modern farming techniques. The chief minister emphasized the state’s efforts in irrigation, crop productivity, and farmer welfare, urging farmers to utilize government schemes to enhance agricultural productivity and income.
During the event, CM Yadav engaged with farmers, encouraging them to leverage government initiatives for improving agricultural productivity and increasing farm incomes. The programme witnessed the presence of public representatives, senior government officials, and a large number of farmers from various parts of the state.
Following the event, the chief minister was set to visit the Dadaji Darbar in Khandwa for prayers. Meanwhile, Congress workers staged a protest in Khandwa over various demands during the chief minister’s visit, leading to tightened security measures and the detention of several protesters to maintain law and order.
