Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav greeted a team of military officers, led by Chief of Army Staff General Upendra Dwivedi, at his residence in Bhopal. General Dwivedi announced plans for a spectacular Army Day Parade scheduled for January 15, 2027, in Bhopal. The delegation requested the state government’s assistance for the event, which will include the ‘Shaurya Sandhya’ military exhibition and honor retired soldiers.
Preparations for the Army Day event will commence on November 1, coinciding with Madhya Pradesh Foundation Day. The event aims to highlight the Indian Army’s valor and heritage, foster connections between citizens and the military, and encourage youth to consider a career in the armed forces. The state government pledged full support to ensure the event’s success and dignified execution similar to the Republic Day celebrations in New Delhi.
The parade, rehearsals, and military demonstrations will be held at various locations in Bhopal, including the Upper Lake and T.T. Nagar Stadium. The event will feature water sports, air shows, and exhibitions showcasing the Army’s equipment and resources. The Chief Minister emphasized the importance of strengthening coordination between the Army and civil administration for a seamless and inspiring event.
