He highlighted the hardships faced by families of those jailed without legal recourse and claimed that detainees were coerced to join the Congress for release. Yadav emphasized the importance of democracy in India’s progress and announced various benefits for Loktantra Senanis, including free accommodation, medical treatment, and air ambulance services.
The Chief Minister assured that deceased democracy activists would be commemorated with memorial plaques and named landmarks. He pledged to issue commemorative certificates to those who had not yet received them. The conference attendees demanded recognition for democracy activists akin to freedom fighters nationwide, emphasizing their contributions to democracy.
