Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav inaugurated the Dr. Syama Prasad Mukherjee Satgarhi Smart Industrial Park and Convention Centre in Bhopal’s Kolar area. This initiative is expected to create jobs for over 15,000 individuals and enhance the state’s industrial landscape. Launched on Syama Prasad Mukherjee’s 125th birth anniversary, the project aims to position Bhopal as a key industrial and investment destination.
CM Mohan Yadav, during the foundation stone-laying ceremony, emphasized that the industrial park would attract investments, foster employment opportunities, and stimulate economic growth. He highlighted the park’s significance, stating that it would offer employment to more than 15,000 people and play a crucial role in industrial development.
The project encompasses a 25-acre convention center with a seating capacity of 10,000 individuals, making it the largest facility of its kind in Madhya Pradesh. Situated approximately 25 km from Raja Bhoj Airport and 15 km from Rani Kamlapati Railway Station, the industrial park’s accessibility will be further enhanced by the upcoming Bhopal Western Bypass.
CM Mohan Yadav underscored the state’s investment momentum, revealing that projects worth about Rs 10 lakh crore were already materializing from investment proposals valued at Rs 30 lakh crore received during the Global Investors Summit 2025. He also mentioned that agreements worth Rs 86,000 crore had been inked since January under the state’s “Year of Farmers’ Welfare” initiative.
The Chief Minister additionally announced plans to clear the Union Carbide waste from Bhopal and develop a significant memorial and a new hospital at the site in memory of the victims of the 1984 Bhopal gas tragedy.
