Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav visited Gujarat and took part in the renowned ‘Rann Utsav’, a cultural extravaganza showcasing music, dance, crafts, and the mesmerizing white desert. Impressed by the transformation of barren land into a tourism hotspot with farmer involvement, Yadav lauded the event on social media.
Having immersed himself in the grandeur of ‘Rann Utsav’ and the top-notch tent city setup, Yadav highlighted the festival’s role in tourism, livelihood, and global recognition. He praised the festival’s beauty, the artists’ performances, and Gujarat’s rich cultural heritage that make the event distinctive.
Yadav commended the ‘Rann Utsav’ as a global symbol of India’s cultural richness and tourism allure, initiated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. He also acknowledged the ‘Smriti Van’ in Bhuj as a poignant tribute to earthquake victims, symbolizing compassion and resilience.
The Chief Minister revealed plans to establish a museum at the site of the Union Carbide Factory disaster, known for the tragic Bhopal Gas Tragedy of 1984. Additionally, he announced intentions to create a tent city in Ujjain for the 2028 ‘Simhastha’ festival, inspired by Gujarat’s ‘Rann Utsav’, aiming to boost tourism and local economies.
