Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav mentioned that the state government is getting full assistance from the Centre in securing approvals for various schemes. This assurance came after meetings with key Union Ministers like Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman, Agriculture Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan, and Jal Shakti Minister C.R. Paatil, where discussions were held on ministry-related issues.
During the interaction with the Finance Minister, Yadav talked about the state’s financial challenges, accomplishments, and sought financial aid. The focus was also on financial arrangements needed for projects like Simhastha–2028. Yadav highlighted that discussions with Union Minister C.R. Paatil centered on the progress of inter-state river linking projects in Madhya Pradesh, including Ken-Betwa and Parvati-Kalisindh-Chambal (PKC), which received approval from the Centre.
Furthermore, detailed talks with Union Minister C.R. Patil revolved around projects and agreements with neighboring states under the Narmada Valley irrigation schemes, along with expanding tap water supply through single-village schemes. The meeting with Union Agriculture Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan emphasized enhancing farmers’ income and bolstering agriculture in the state, addressing pending issues related to agricultural procurement and rural development, specifically mustard procurement.
Chouhan also handed over an approval letter to Chief Minister Yadav for 100% procurement of Tur (pigeon pea) in Madhya Pradesh. The discussions encompassed various aspects such as payments for mustard and soybean price differences, additional targets under the Pulses Mission, and schemes like PM Crop Insurance, Soil Health Program, PM Awas Yojana (Rural), and PM Gram Sadak Yojana.
