Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav visited the families of the victims of a tragic fire incident in Indore, where eight people, including two children, lost their lives. Chief Minister Yadav expressed his condolences and support to the bereaved families, emphasizing the need for preventive measures to avoid such tragedies in the future. The incident, which occurred in the Pugalia family at Bengali Square, was described as heart-wrenching by the Chief Minister.

During his visit, Chief Minister Yadav met with the family members, including Saurabh, the eldest son of one of the deceased victims, Manoj Pugalia. Saurabh clarified that the fire was not caused by the vehicle charging process but resulted from a short circuit at an electric pole. He also raised concerns about the delayed arrival of the fire department, stating that prompt action could have potentially saved lives. Additionally, he highlighted issues such as empty water tankers and misdirection of emergency vehicles.

Chief Minister Yadav, after meeting with the affected family, termed the incident as “extremely tragic” and assured that an investigation is underway. He emphasized the government’s commitment to enhancing safety measures related to EV charging systems and residential electric mechanisms. The state government is actively working on strategies to prevent similar accidents in the future, including consultations with institutions like IIT for expert guidance.

The tragic incident in Indore claimed the lives of eight individuals, including two minors, due to a fire that engulfed a residential building following an explosion in an electric car being charged nearby. The state government, along with local officials, is focused on conducting a thorough inquiry to prevent such incidents from occurring again. Leaders like Kailash Vijayvargiya and Prime Minister Narendra Modi have also expressed condolences and support for the affected families.
