The Madhya Pradesh government presented the Economic Survey for 2025-26 in the state Assembly, showcasing robust economic performance and sectoral advancements. Chief Minister Mohan Yadav praised the state’s economic progress, attributing it to financial discipline and transparent governance under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership. The Gross State Domestic Product (GSDP) for 2025-26 is estimated at Rs 16,69,750 crore, indicating an 11.14% increase from the previous year.
Per capita net income in Madhya Pradesh has shown significant growth, reaching Rs 1,69,050 at current prices and Rs 76,971 at constant prices for 2025-26. The sectoral composition of Gross State Value Added reveals that the primary sector holds a share of 43.09%, the secondary sector 19.79%, and the tertiary sector 37.12% at current prices. Notably, the tertiary sector experienced the highest growth, with trade, repair, hotels, and restaurants leading the way.
The primary sector’s value increased to Rs 6,79,817 crore, with crops being the largest contributor. The secondary sector expanded to Rs 3,12,350 crore, led by construction and manufacturing. The tertiary sector saw significant growth, reaching Rs 5,85,588 crore, with trade and other services playing key roles. These figures highlight a well-rounded economic expansion in Madhya Pradesh, with services, agriculture, and industry driving the state’s growth.
