Isolated rainfall or drizzle with thunderstorm and lightning is expected in select districts of Madhya Pradesh from Sunday evening to Monday, as per the India Meteorological Department’s Bhopal Center. Meanwhile, a heatwave is forecasted to persist in various other parts of the state.
According to the weather summary and forecast released by the Meteorological Centre in Bhopal, the past 24 hours saw mainly dry weather across all divisions of Madhya Pradesh. Heatwave conditions were observed in Ratlam, Umaria, Chhindwara, and Mandla districts.
Maximum temperatures in districts of Bhopal, Ujjain, Chambal, Rewa, Jabalpur, and Sagar divisions remained above normal by 2.4 to 2.9 degrees Celsius. Gwalior and Shahdol divisions experienced temperatures appreciably above normal by 3.1 to 4.5 degrees Celsius, while other areas reported normal temperatures.
