Madhya Pradesh is set to acquire 13 MRI machines, 11 mammography machines, and 308 AI-enabled handheld X-ray devices in the next three years through the PM-CARES initiative. This initiative follows a Memorandum of Understanding signed between the Madhya Pradesh Public Health and Medical Education Department and the Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare. The aim is to enhance diagnostic services and enhance healthcare accessibility in the state.
Deputy Chief Minister Rajendra Shukla highlighted that the new medical equipment will bolster healthcare infrastructure, especially in remote and rural areas. The introduction of advanced diagnostic tools under PM-CARES is expected to significantly elevate healthcare services in Madhya Pradesh, offering improved and high-quality diagnostic facilities to residents, particularly those in remote regions. Shukla expressed gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Health Minister Jagat Prakash Nadda for their support.
During the ‘Digital Health Initiatives Launch Event’ in New Delhi, Union Health Minister Jagat Prakash Nadda unveiled various digital platforms to enhance healthcare services’ integration, transparency, and citizen-centric approach. These initiatives include Aarogya Setu 2.0, the Ayushman App, the Ayushman Sarathi WhatsApp Chatbot, and other digital tools. Shukla emphasized that the synergy between digital health initiatives and modern diagnostic equipment will enhance healthcare delivery in Madhya Pradesh, strengthening public health services and enabling early disease detection.
