Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav revealed plans to hire more than 22,500 police officers over the next three years to enhance law enforcement in the state. The recruitment process, initiated after an eight-year gap, will focus on filling various positions, with around 7,500 recruits annually. A new Police Recruitment Board will oversee this phased recruitment drive, aiming to strengthen the state police force significantly.
CM Yadav commended the Madhya Pradesh Police for their outstanding performance characterized by sensitivity, proactivity, vigilance, and a strong commitment to public service. He stressed the importance of continuous recruitment to uphold effective law and order. The state police, in collaboration with central forces, has successfully eliminated Naxalism from Madhya Pradesh, serving as a model for the nation.
The Chief Minister expressed confidence that the reinforced police force would ensure smooth operations during the upcoming Simhastha-2028 faith festival, catering to millions of devotees. He instructed senior officers to prioritize victim-centric policing, emphasizing respectful treatment of complainants and swift resolution of their issues. Directives from the IG Conference included strategies to combat cybercrimes, improve road safety, combat human trafficking, and enhance protection for women and children.
This recruitment initiative is viewed as a strategic move to modernize and expand the police force in preparation for significant events like Simhastha-2028. It is expected to generate employment opportunities for Madhya Pradesh’s youth while enhancing internal security. The state government is dedicated to establishing a more responsive and effective police system that garners public trust and effectively addresses emerging challenges.
