Maharashtra BJP MLA Ram Kadam criticized AIMIM chief Asaduddin Owaisi for recent statements, calling them a departure from logic and development-based campaigning. Kadam emphasized the importance of seeking votes through constructive means rather than belittling India. He accused Owaisi of resorting to low-level election tactics instead of engaging in meaningful political dialogue.
Kadam highlighted the need for positive campaigning, stating that constant denigration of the country does not lead to political success. He pointed out that India’s economy has climbed to the 4th global position, underscoring the country’s progress under the leadership of the Prime Minister. Kadam criticized both Rahul Gandhi and Owaisi for attempting to portray India negatively and focusing on other countries’ advancements.
The BJP legislator’s remarks were in response to Owaisi’s comments on voter behavior and election strategies. Owaisi had suggested that voters could utilize money received from political parties for constructive purposes like building toilets if they view it as an unethical practice. He also called for rejecting certain political parties in the upcoming Nanded-Waghala Municipal Corporation elections.
Owaisi reiterated that Muslims are integral citizens of India and should not be treated as inferior. He urged people to vote against specific parties to safeguard the Waqf Board’s interests. AIMIM has nominated 37 candidates for the civic body elections in Maharashtra, aiming to convey a strong message against perceived threats to the board’s existence.
In a separate incident, Owaisi had earlier urged PM Modi to repatriate the masterminds of the 26/11 terror attack from Pakistan. He referenced US military actions in Venezuela as a parallel, emphasizing the need for justice in such cases.
