The Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education announced the results of the SSC Class 10 exams held in February-March 2026, with an overall pass percentage of 92.09%. State School Education Minister Dadaji Bhuse congratulated successful students, calling it a significant achievement in their academic journey. He also encouraged those who didn’t meet their expectations, emphasizing that one exam doesn’t define their life or intelligence.
Girls surpassed boys by 5.40 percentage points, with the Konkan division leading the state with a pass percentage of 97.62%. Out of 15,42,472 students who appeared, 14,20,486 passed. Among girls, 94.96% passed, while boys had a pass percentage of 89.56%. The Konkan division maintained the highest pass rate, while Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar division had the lowest.
Various divisions in Maharashtra reported pass percentages: Konkan at 97.62%, Kolhapur at 96.47%, Mumbai at 94.97%, Pune at 94.24%, Nashik at 90.53%, Amravati at 90.50%, Nagpur at 89.07%, Latur at 88.42%, and Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar at 88.41%. The distribution of successful students by grades was: Distinction 27.41%, First Division 31.26%, Second Division 24.66%, and Pass Grade 8.75%.
For students seeking to enhance their scores, the Board introduced a Grade/Marks Improvement Scheme, offering three opportunities for improvement exams. Minister Bhuse praised the efforts of teachers and parents, highlighting the students as the future of Maharashtra, crucial for the state and national progress.
