Maharashtra’s Higher and Technical Education Minister, Chandrakant Dada Patil, revealed plans to launch CET Student Facilitation Centres in all districts. These centers aim to guide students on CET exams, the Centralised Admission Process, scholarships, and admission procedures. A total of 40 centers will be set up across 36 districts, with Mumbai, Pune, and Nagpur hosting multiple centers. Services are scheduled to commence from June 10, with a focus on providing accurate information and support at the district level.
Minister Patil emphasized the importance of ensuring students have access to reliable information and assistance throughout the admission process. The initiative seeks to eliminate the need for students, particularly from rural areas, to travel to major cities for admission-related tasks. These facilitation centers will offer detailed guidance on admissions, scholarships, and necessary information within the students’ own districts.
The centers will act as a bridge between educational institutions, examination centers, and the Maharashtra State Common Entrance Test Cell. They will provide technical information on CET subjects, the admission process, and assist students in resolving queries. Additionally, students will receive guidance on course selection, eligibility, and information on scholarship schemes.
Students will benefit from assistance in resolving pending complaints, obtaining necessary information, and grievance redressal. The centers will also offer career guidance, academic counseling, and support in filling application forms and resolving technical issues related to admissions.
