In Himachal Pradesh, the government recently conducted a significant administrative reshuffle by transferring and appointing 18 Indian Administrative Service (IAS) and 16 Himachal Administrative Service (HAS) officers. Abhishek Jain, a 2002 batch officer previously serving as Advisor (Regulatory Reforms) and Principal Secretary (Finance and Planning), has now been assigned the role of Financial Commissioner (Appeals). Sudesh Mokta from the 2010 batch, who was awaiting posting, has been designated as Secretary (Cooperation) according to an official notification.
Amarjeet Singh, also from the 2010 batch and previously holding the position of Secretary (Cooperation), will retain his responsibilities as Secretary (Town and Country Planning and Home). Furthermore, Torul S Raveesh, from the 2016 batch and serving as Managing Director of State Industrial Development Corporation Ltd and General Industries Corporation, has been reassigned as Director (Land Records). Abhishek Verma, a 2018 batch officer who was Director (Land Records), will now serve as the Managing Director of HP Milkfed.
Ajay Kumar Yadav, another 2018 batch officer, has been appointed as the Managing Director of the Himachal Pradesh Medical Services Corporation. The reshuffle also includes Mahendra Pal Gurjar, a 2018 batch officer previously serving as Additional Deputy Commissioner in Una, who has been posted as Director (Personnel and Finance) at the Himachal Pradesh Power Transmission Corporation.
Solan ADC Rahul Jain has been reassigned as the Managing Director of Mahila Vikas Nigam, Solan, with an additional responsibility as the Registrar of Horticulture University of Nauni, Solan. Dinyanshu Singh, the Managing Director of the Himachal Pradesh State Handicrafts and Handloom Corporation, has been transferred to the role of Additional Deputy Commissioner in Solan. This position will be taken over by Om Kant Sharma, the Additional Deputy Commissioner of Bilaspur from the 2020 batch.
Gursimar Singh, a 2021 batch officer serving as Sub-Divisional Magistrate (SDM) in Mandi, has been appointed as the Managing Director of General Industries Corporation. Ishant Jaswal, the SDM of Kangra from the 2021 batch, will now serve as Additional Deputy Commissioner in Una. Rupinder Kaur, the SDM in Mandi from the 2021 batch, has been reassigned as Additional Deputy Commissioner in Bilaspur. Lastly, Rajdeep Singh, the SDM in Bilaspur from the 2021 batch, has been appointed as the Municipal Commissioner of Solan.
