A significant fire erupted on Friday morning on the 12th floor of a flat in the IVY County Society in Sector 74, Noida, Uttar Pradesh. Fire department teams quickly responded to the scene upon receiving the alert. Thick black smoke and flames were visible from the affected flat’s balcony, causing alarm among residents. Firefighters are actively working to contain the blaze.
Another fire incident occurred on the same day in Noida’s Gijhor area, Sector 52. The fire reportedly started in an office on the ground floor of a multi-storey building. Fire brigade teams promptly arrived to extinguish the flames and prevent further spread. The cause of this fire is currently under investigation.
These incidents follow a recent tragic fire at the Flourish Stay hotel in Hauz Rani, Malviya Nagar, Delhi. The fire led to the loss of at least 21 lives, including foreign nationals, and injuries to several others. The affected individuals included medical tourists and attendants of patients from nearby hospitals. Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta is set to lead a high-level meeting to address fire safety and unauthorized construction concerns.
