The Police in Bengaluru, Karnataka, have apprehended a man named Hainas on charges of sexually assaulting a college student from Kerala in the Madiwala area. The victim reported the incident, stating that the assault occurred during a gathering with friends and acquaintances on May 11. Hainas, who worked as a broker and was acquainted with the victim through her workplace, allegedly threatened her against reporting the assault.
The victim, a college student who also worked part-time at a momo shop, accused Hainas of assaulting her on the shop premises. She mentioned that the owners of the shop, Atul and Ghosh, were present during the incident. The victim further alleged that Hainas assaulted her when the shop owners were away to bring dinner, and he warned her of consequences if she sought help from the police.
Following the victim’s complaint, the police initiated an investigation and apprehended Hainas, who had fled to Kerala after the incident. He was arrested and underwent a medical examination as part of the inquiry. A case has been registered at the Madiwala Police Station, and the investigation is ongoing. In a separate incident, two men were arrested in Bengaluru South for sexually assaulting two orphaned girls aged 11 and 12, recording the acts, and sharing them on social media for monetary gain.
