A 45-year-old man, Essa Suleiman, faced charges of attempted murder for stabbing two Jewish men in Golders Green, London. Suleiman was also charged in connection with another incident on the same day at Great Dover Street. Commander Helen Flanagan of Counter Terrorism Policing London emphasized the importance of avoiding speculation to ensure justice for the victims.

Officers responded to reports of the stabbings in Highfield Avenue, where the suspect was tasered before being arrested. The victims, aged 76 and 34, received treatment for stab wounds, with the younger man already discharged from the hospital. The 76-year-old victim remains in stable condition.

The attack in Golders Green has been classified as a terrorist incident, with the UK terrorist threat level raised to severe. British Transport Police have increased patrols in the area following the incident. UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer condemned the attack as “utterly appalling” and assured that the perpetrators would face consequences.
