A tragic incident occurred in Andhra Pradesh’s Prakasam district as a man lost his life in a collision between two vehicles. The collision involved a Bolero vehicle that caught fire after crashing with another unidentified vehicle on the Nandyal-Amaravati highway. Sadly, the driver was unable to escape the flames and was charred to death, while another occupant sustained injuries.
The fatal accident took place near Rangareddypalle village in Racharla mandal early in the morning at around 5:45 a.m. The Bolero vehicle, loaded with cashew, was en route from Tuni to Anantapur when it collided with the unidentified vehicle traveling in the opposite direction. The impact of the collision led to the Bolero catching fire.
Upon receiving alerts from passersby, fire service personnel promptly arrived at the scene with a fire engine to extinguish the flames. The deceased driver was identified as Swamy, aged 50, while the injured passenger, Kandipalli Jayarami Reddy, was taken to the government hospital at Giddalur for medical treatment.
Authorities have initiated an investigation into the incident and have registered a case. Efforts are underway to locate the unidentified vehicle involved in the collision with the Bolero. In a separate incident in neighboring Telangana, passengers of a private travel bus sustained injuries after a collision with a truck on the Hyderabad-Vijayawada highway near Narketpally in Nalgonda district. The injured individuals were promptly admitted to a nearby private hospital.
In a different accident in Hyderabad, a home guard was injured in a hit-and-run incident at a traffic signal in the Madhapur information technology hub. Reportedly, a speeding car struck the home guard, identified as Nayeem, who was on duty at the time. The car fled the scene after the collision, leaving the injured home guard to be hospitalized. Police have launched an investigation to identify the car and its owner involved in the hit-and-run.
