Man Stabbed to Death in Broad Daylight in Kolkata

A man, identified as Mehboob Alam (41), was fatally stabbed in broad daylight in Kolkata, West Bengal. The incident occurred in the Rajabazar area of north Kolkata, causing panic among locals. The police were alerted and have initiated an investigation to determine the perpetrator and motive behind the crime.
Alam, a fruit vendor from Narkeldanga in north Kolkata, was attacked at his shop in Rajabazar by a young man between 9:30 and 10:00 am. The assailant, without provocation, began stabbing Alam with a sharp knife on a public street. Despite being rushed to Nil Ratan Sircar Medical College and Hospital, Alam was pronounced dead upon arrival.
The police have cordoned off the area where the attack took place and are interviewing witnesses and residents to identify the culprit. The motive for the attack remains unclear, and an autopsy will be conducted on Alam’s body. The authorities are actively searching for the perpetrator while keeping Alam’s family informed about the ongoing investigation.
