Manchester City has revealed the latest additions to Enzo Maresca’s coaching team, including the return of former goalkeeper Willy Caballero. The club confirmed that Roberto Vitiello, Willy Caballero, Danny Walker, Michele De Bernardin, Marcos Alvarez, Denis Silva, and Javier Molina will all be part of Maresca’s coaching staff. Caballero, who previously played for Man City, notably contributed to the team’s 2013/14 League Cup victory with his penalty shootout heroics.
Caballero, who had stints with Leicester and Chelsea under Maresca, rejoins the Etihad Stadium as part of the coaching staff. He shares a history with Maresca, having been his teammate at Malaga in Spain during their time under ex-City manager Manuel Pellegrini. Additionally, set-piece coach James French and goalkeeping coach Richard Wright will retain their positions from the previous season.
Enzo Maresca, the newly appointed manager of Man City, will be supported by Roberto Vitiello as his assistant manager. Vitiello, who began his career at Parma and played for various clubs, including Palermo alongside Maresca, transitioned into coaching at Fiorentina before collaborating with Maresca at different clubs. The coaching team will also include familiar faces like Walker, De Bernardin, Alvarez, Silva, and Molina, each taking on specific roles within the staff.
