The much-anticipated trailer for Mardaani 3 has been unveiled, showcasing Rani Mukerji’s return as the indomitable police officer Shivani Shivaji Roy. The third installment of Yash Raj Films’ acclaimed franchise is set to hit theaters on January 30, 2026.

Race Against Time to Save Innocent Lives

In this latest chapter, Shivani Shivaji Roy joins the National Investigation Agency (NIA) to probe the mysterious disappearance of two young girls. What begins as a missing persons case soon exposes a chilling nationwide human trafficking network orchestrated by an elderly woman known as “Amma,” portrayed by Mallika Prasad.

The trailer reveals disturbing details of Amma’s criminal operations—purchasing girls across India for Rs 10 lakh each and sedating them with injections. As Shivani investigates further, she discovers the trafficking ring extends beyond kidnapping, linking to an extensive beggar mafia.

Confronting Evil Head-On

One of the trailer’s most powerful moments features Shivani confronting Amma directly. “I am a cop who won’t take cuts from people like you but will cut you,” she declares, establishing her unwavering commitment to justice. The intensity escalates as a rescued victim coughs up blood in a hospital, highlighting the brutal reality of the crimes.

The official Yash Raj Films Twitter account shared the trailer with the caption: “It is a race against time & there will be no mercy. Shivani Shivaji Roy is back to rescue girls who go missing without a trace.”

Behind the Scenes

Mardaani 3 has been written by Aayush Gupta, known for his work on YRF’s The Railway Men, and directed by Abhiraj Minawala. The film is produced by Aditya Chopra and features Janaki Bodiwala of Shaitaan fame in a significant role.

Continuing a Legacy of Hard-Hitting Cinema

The Mardaani franchise has consistently tackled disturbing social realities. While the first film exposed human trafficking networks and Mardaani 2 examined the psychology of a serial rapist challenging law enforcement, the third installment delves into the dark underworld of child exploitation and organized crime.

Mardaani 3 is scheduled for worldwide theatrical release on January 30, 2026, promising another gripping chapter in Shivani Shivaji Roy’s fight against crime.
