Maruti Suzuki India Limited announced that its popular sedan, Maruti Suzuki Dzire, has surpassed 3 million sales in India. The Dzire, which became the top-selling car in India in 2025, continues to lead the sedan segment with strong customer support. Since its launch in 2008, the Dzire has seen four generations and remains a significant product in the company’s lineup.

The latest fourth-generation model of the Dzire boasts a refreshed design, enhanced interiors, and improved safety features, targeting younger buyers and first-time car owners. Partho Banerjee, Senior Executive Officer of Marketing and Sales at Maruti Suzuki India Limited, expressed gratitude to the 3 million Dzire customers for this milestone. He highlighted the model’s appeal to young first-time buyers, who make up nearly half of its customer base.

The Dzire has introduced various segment-leading features over the years, such as dual front airbags, automatic climate control, and Anti-Lock Braking System (ABS). Subsequent versions added features like automated manual transmission, dual-tone interiors, LED projector headlamps, alloy wheels, and advanced infotainment systems. Notably, the model has received a five-star safety rating from both Bharat New Car Assessment Programme and Global New Car Assessment Programme.

In January, Maruti Suzuki recorded a 12% year-on-year growth, selling 2.37 lakh vehicles during the month. Despite this success, shares of Maruti Suzuki traded around 4% lower on the BSE at Rs 12,490 apiece.
