In an interview with Rolling Stone, Hawke emphasized how deeply she has been impacted by Swift’s music throughout her life. She highlighted Swift’s talent by stating that she could recognize and complete any of Swift’s songs from any starting point.
The actress also shared that a track from her upcoming album, Maitreya Corso, titled Lioness, is dedicated to her “Stranger Things” co-star Sadie Sink. The song reflects a moment on set when Sink’s acting inspired Hawke and reminded her of the magic of the craft. Hawke recalled a specific day on the show when Sink’s performance motivated her to always bring authenticity and dedication to her work.
