Yogi Adityanath, a Hindu monk and political leader, was born on June 5, 1972, in Pauri Garhwal, Uttarakhand. He is a prominent figure in the BJP and has served two consecutive full terms as the Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh. Known for his association with the Ram Temple movement in Ayodhya, he is currently the ‘Mahant’ of the Gorakhnath Math in Gorakhpur, advocating Hindutva ideology.
Having started his political journey by winning the Lok Sabha seat from Gorakhpur in 1998, Yogi Adityanath has since been re-elected multiple times. In 2017, he assumed office as the Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh, a position he has held for two consecutive terms.
