A 25-year-old medical student, Antariksh Agrawal, pursuing an MBBS degree at Mahatma Gandhi Memorial (MGM) College in Indore, was found dead in his hostel room. Antariksh, a first-year student, was discovered hanging in room number 43 on the fourth floor of Block-B. His roommate, Harsh Kaushik, raised the alarm after Antariksh did not respond to knocks on the door.

Local authorities were informed after students broke open the door and found Antariksh hanging from the ceiling fan. Antariksh, a resident of Gwalior, did not attend class on the day of the incident. The police are investigating the matter to determine the cause of his death.

The tragic incident adds to a series of suicides among medical students and doctors in Madhya Pradesh, particularly in cities like Indore, Bhopal, and Jabalpur. Just days before this incident, a physiotherapist named Bhanu Mohar died by jumping from a residential building in Jabalpur.
