The incident happened close to Vivekananda Kendra Vidyalaya around 2 p.m. when the mini truck tried to cross a railway track as a train was passing through the area. Despite the train having the green signal and moving along its designated route, the mini truck driver attempted to cross the track, leading to the collision.

The mini truck suffered extensive damage and was dragged some distance by the train, as seen in visuals from the site showing the vehicle badly mangled.
