Minister of State for External Affairs and Textiles, Pabitra Margherita, is set to embark on an official tour to Costa Rica, Honduras, Belize, and Dominica from May 8-15, 2026, as announced by the Ministry of External Affairs. In Costa Rica, Margherita will attend the Presidential Inauguration Ceremony of Laura Fernandez Delgado on May 8 in San Jose, representing India.
During his visit to Costa Rica, Margherita is expected to engage in discussions with government officials to enhance bilateral relations and explore opportunities for strengthening the India–Costa Rica partnership. In Honduras, he will meet with senior dignitaries, including the Foreign Minister, to discuss various aspects of bilateral cooperation.
In Belize, the Minister of State will interact with local government representatives and visit India’s developmental projects in the country. Wrapping up his tour in Dominica, Margherita will hold discussions with the country’s leadership to address the broad spectrum of the bilateral relationship and visit project sites supported by Indian grant assistance.
Margherita’s visit aims to bolster ties with these nations and engage with the Indian diaspora and well-wishers in Dominica. This trip follows his recent official visit to Vanuatu and Tuvalu, where he initiated various assistance programs, including support for cultural preservation and medical aid under the ‘Heal in India’ initiative.
