A missing person’s report in Bhind resulted in the uncovering of a tragic incident involving the gang-rape and murder of a 15-year-old girl. The victim’s burnt body was found on a hilltop area, leading to the arrest of three suspects by the police.
The girl’s family approached the Mau police station after she did not return home on May 28. They identified Ramu Gurjar, a local resident believed to be in a relationship with the girl, as a suspect. Following the complaint, both Gwalior and Mau police teams collaborated to detain Ramu.
Ramu initially misled investigators during questioning but later confessed when confronted with call records. He admitted to luring the girl to Gwalior on his motorcycle on May 28 in the company of his accomplice, Arun. The two perpetrators then took the minor to a secluded area on a hill above Navgrah Temple, where they committed the heinous acts.
The investigation revealed that Ramu Gurjar attempted to sell the girl to Arun for ₹50,000, leading to a tragic turn of events. When the victim resisted and tried to raise an alarm, she was strangled to death by the accused. Subsequently, the perpetrators set her body on fire to destroy evidence before fleeing the scene.
