Mumbai Indians have won the toss and chosen to bat against Sunrisers Hyderabad in the 41st match of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2026 at Wankhede Stadium. They have made several changes to their lineup, including bringing in Ryan Rickelton, Will Jacks, Robin Minz, and Trent Boult. Sunrisers Hyderabad, on the other hand, have included Travis Head and Harsh Dubey in their team.

Mumbai Indians’ captain, Hardik Pandya, expressed his decision to bat first, mentioning the favorable weather conditions and the team’s refreshed mindset for the game. He highlighted the importance of simplicity and excitement for the upcoming match. Pandya also addressed the team changes due to injuries and the absence of Rohit Sharma.

Sunrisers Hyderabad’s captain, Pat Cummins, stated that they would have preferred to bowl first due to the conditions of the pitch. He emphasized the need to adapt to different challenges posed by each game. Cummins mentioned the team change of Harsh Dubey replacing Shivang and his role in supporting the bowlers during tough situations.

The playing XIs for both teams are as follows:
Sunrisers Hyderabad: Abhishek Sharma, Travis Head, Ishan Kishan, Heinrich Klaasen, Salil Arora, Nitish Kumar Reddy, Pat Cummins, Harsh Dubey, Sakib Hussain, Praful Hinge, Eshan Malinga
Mumbai Indians: Ryan Rickelton, Will Jacks, Naman Dhir, Suryakumar Yadav, Tilak Varma, Hardik Pandya, Robin Minz, Trent Boult, Jasprit Bumrah, Allah Mohammad Ghazanfar, Ashwani Kumar
