Mumbai Police apprehended two criminals from the Kala Ghoda area for allegedly shooting at the home of an Indian Air Force officer in Satna, Madhya Pradesh. The suspects fired multiple rounds outside the officer’s residence and later issued threats to the state police via social media. They were captured in Mumbai after attempting to evade arrest by turning off their phones.
The incident occurred on June 5 in the jurisdiction of the Kolgawan police station in Satna. The accused discharged five rounds from a country-made pistol outside the IAF officer’s house before fleeing. They then posted a video on social media challenging the Madhya Pradesh Police and boasting about their criminal activities.
Following the shooting, the duo tried to escape detection by traveling to Mumbai. Intelligence reports indicated they might be hiding in specific areas of South Mumbai. A joint effort between the Satna police and local authorities in Mumbai led to the arrest of the suspects in the Kala Ghoda region.
The arrested individuals, identified as Amarsingh Ashoksingh Parihar, 25, and Abhignan Sankatmochan Tripathi, 23, are residents of Madhya Pradesh. Legal actions have been initiated against them under relevant sections of the law, including the Arms Act. They were handed over to the Madhya Pradesh Police after necessary legal procedures were completed in Mumbai.
