The Mumbai Police has taken action on actress Celina Jaitly’s accusations of domestic violence against her husband, Peter Haag. An FIR has been filed against Peter, an Austrian national, based on the complaint lodged by the actress. The FIR includes sections related to cruelty, harm, intimidation, and harassment under the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, along with proceedings under the Protection of Women from Domestic Violence Act, 2005.
This development follows Celina Jaitly’s emotional video where she visited her deceased son’s grave amidst the legal proceedings. She expressed her distress over not being able to meet her children except for one who had passed away earlier. Additionally, the Mumbai Police has issued a Look Out Circular against Peter Haag due to suspected non-cooperation with the investigation, a measure taken to prevent potential evasion of questioning or departure from the country during the inquiry.
Peter Haag and his legal representatives have not publicly responded to the allegations yet. The Mumbai Police is actively recording statements and gathering evidence related to the complaint. Celina Jaitly, known for her marriage to Peter in 2010 and being a mother of twins and a second set of twins, had previously accused Peter of continuous domestic violence, leading to legal action under the Domestic Violence Act.
