Ritesh Bhatkal’s unbeaten 75 off 42 balls led Mysore Warriors to a three-wicket win over Gulbarga Mystics in the Maharaja Trophy KSCA T20 in Hubballi. Chasing 197, Bhatkal’s innings rescued the Warriors from early setbacks, supported by Manoj Bhandage’s 24 off 15 balls.
The victory lifted Mysore Warriors out of the bottom spot, securing their fourth position with seven points. On the other hand, Gulbarga Mystics slipped below them with six points after suffering their fifth defeat in the tournament.
Gulbarga Mystics, batting first, recovered from a shaky start of 2-24 to reach 196/7 in 20 overs. Thippa Reddy and Dhruv Prabhakar’s partnership of 56 runs for the fourth wicket boosted their total, with Manish Pandey’s late cameo of 41 runs off 19 balls.
Thippa Reddy’s 51 off 26 balls and Dhruv Prabhakar’s 51 off 35 balls were the highlights of Gulbarga Mystics’ innings. The Warriors’ bowlers Arbind Rai and Lavish Kaushal shone, both taking three wickets each.
