Telugu star Nagarjuna expressed his pride as his son Naga Chaitanya was honored with the Gaddar State Film award for Best Actor for 2025 by the Telangana state government. He commended Naga Chaitanya’s outstanding performance in ‘Thandel’ for deserving the recognition. Following the announcement of the Gaddar Awards winners, Nagarjuna took to social media to congratulate the awardees and appreciate the government for establishing the ANR Award in memory of his late father, Akkineni Nageswara Rao.
Nagarjuna extended his congratulations to all the #2025GaddarAward winners and expressed gratitude to the Telangana Government for instituting the ANR Award in honor of his father. He also expressed his joy over veteran actress Jayapradha receiving the ANR award this year, describing her as a highly deserving individual. Additionally, Nagarjuna congratulated Mega star Chiranjeevi for winning the NTR Award and expressed his pride in Naga Chaitanya’s achievement as the Best Actor for his role in Thandel.
The Gaddar Awards, named after the late revolutionary poet Gaddar, were established by the Telangana state government. Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy had previously announced the revival and renaming of the Nandi Awards after Gaddar, marking a significant moment in Telugu cinema excellence. The awards, which had been dormant for 14 years, were reinstated last year.
