The National High Speed Rail Corporation Limited (NHSRCL) has initiated a significant recruitment campaign for the Mumbai-Ahmedabad High-Speed Rail (MAHSR) Corridor. They are seeking applicants for 224 positions in engineering, operations, IT, and security roles as progress on India’s inaugural bullet train venture accelerates. The recruitment drive encompasses a broad array of technical and operational jobs, including roles like junior engineer, train manager, station manager, depot controller, operations controller, and IT specialists. Operations-related positions hold the majority of vacancies, with 55 posts allocated to train managers, station managers, depot controllers, and operations controllers.
The company aims to bolster its engineering team by offering positions for junior engineers specializing in electrical, civil/track, signalling and telecom, rolling stock, and automatic fare collection systems. The notification reveals specific vacancies, such as 47 for junior engineers in electrical, 31 in civil/track, 20 in signalling and telecom, 14 in rolling stock (electrical), three in rolling stock (mechanical), and five in automatic fare collection systems.
Additionally, the recruitment campaign includes deputy engineer roles in civil/track, operations, electrical, signalling and telecom, and rolling stock disciplines. For executive-level positions, NHSRCL is recruiting assistant managers for safety functions and senior professionals for technology-focused roles like Deputy General Manager (IT), Senior Manager (Data Analytics), and Senior Manager (Cloud Infrastructure).
Candidates applying for these positions must be under 45 years old as of May 31, 2026, and possess a minimum of three years of relevant experience in operations and maintenance within Indian Railways, government-operated metro systems, or Regional Rapid Transit Systems (RRTS). Educational prerequisites vary based on the role, ranging from engineering diplomas to BE or B.Tech degrees in the relevant field.
Since the recruitment process follows an absorption model, only individuals presently employed in eligible railway-linked systems can apply. Shortlisted candidates will undergo a Computer-Based Test (CBT), followed by document verification and a medical fitness assessment. The deadline for applications is July 9 for executive posts and July 14 for non-executive positions.
