Director Aditya Kripalani shared that Nawazuddin chose to immerse himself in the character by staying in Frankfurt without his usual team. During his 40-day stay, Nawazuddin observed daily life to grasp the essence of his character’s rhythm and emotions.
The film’s narrative revolves around Mouni, played by Chitrangada Satarupa, a struggling actor in Mumbai, who connects with Adnan Baig, portrayed by Nawazuddin Siddiqui, a retired banker in Frankfurt through an online audition. As Mouni mentors Adnan in acting through video calls, they both embark on emotional journeys spanning different cities, confronting personal truths.
Main Actor Nahin Hoon, shot in India and Germany, has garnered critical acclaim, with Chitrangada winning Best Actress at DCSAFF and Kripalani receiving a Jury Mention for Best Director. Scheduled for release on May 8, 2026, the film is set to be distributed in India by Platoon One Films.
