In a firm address at the NCP’s 27th Foundation Day event, Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) National President Sunetra Pawar cautioned party leaders against unnecessary meddling in party affairs. She stressed the importance of discipline and party interests moving forward. Pawar highlighted the party’s commitment to operating based on its core principles and the legacy of late leader Ajit Pawar.

Addressing a gathering that included ministers, MLAs, MPs, and numerous party office-bearers, Sunetra Pawar assured dedicated ground workers of fair opportunities based on merit and loyalty. She pledged to prioritize the party’s interests above all else and warned of consequences for any unwarranted interference. Pawar emphasized the need for tough decisions when necessary to uphold justice and the party’s integrity.

Reassuring grassroots members, Sunetra Pawar announced upcoming appointments to state corporations and boards, emphasizing merit-based selections over mere seniority. She underscored the importance of contributions to the party’s progress over the years of service, signaling a shift towards recognizing dedication and performance. Pawar urged party workers to strengthen the organization at various levels, blending experience with youthful energy for a vibrant future.

Taking a tough stance on internal discipline, the NCP chief emphasized the importance of safeguarding the party’s reputation. Sunetra Pawar’s unwavering stance and warnings of potential disciplinary actions have sparked speculation within political circles, hinting at a significant change in leadership style as she asserts control over the party’s direction.
