The Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) has rescheduled its 27th Foundation Day event to Thursday, June 11, as Prime Minister Narendra Modi has called for a crucial National Democratic Alliance (NDA) meeting in New Delhi on Wednesday, June 10. NCP state president and MP Sunil Tatkare announced this change at a press conference on Monday.
The NDA meeting in the national capital will gather alliance partners, Chief Ministers, Deputy Chief Ministers, and key leaders from across the country. Tatkare emphasized the importance of attending this meeting on behalf of the party following communication from the Chief Minister.
He highlighted the public’s trust in Narendra Modi and the NDA for a third consecutive term, stating that the upcoming meeting will review the country’s progress over the past two years and discuss future plans for a united and strong NDA.
The press conference aimed to inform NCP workers in Maharashtra that only the date of the event had changed, while the venue and scheduled time remained unchanged. This Foundation Day will be the first celebrated by the party after the passing of Ajit Pawar, and Tatkare expressed confidence in the party’s future under the leadership of Sunetra Pawar.
The party is gearing up to participate in the NDA in the 2029 elections, focusing on strengthening organizational structures at various levels. Additionally, plans for Zilla Parishad elections and a statewide tour by Sunetra Pawar are in progress, along with the implementation of the Special Investment Region (SIR) program.
