Veteran singer Sudesh Bhosale reminisced about his early days painting film posters for iconic actress Hema Malini before sharing the stage with her. He mentioned assisting his father in hand-painting large hoardings of the actress in Mumbai before pursuing a career in playback singing and mimicry. Bhosale shared that he painted posters for films like ‘Lal Patthar’, ‘Sharafat’, and ‘Bhai Ho To Aisa’ before venturing into the entertainment industry.
Recalling his humble beginnings, Bhosale revealed that his first poster painting experience was in 1974 at the age of 14 for the movie ‘Prem Nagar’. He expressed gratitude for the opportunity to later meet and travel with Hema Malini on an international tour to the Fiji Islands in 1984. The singer expressed his joy at being part of the celebrations honoring the legendary actress and sharing the stage with esteemed artists.
Bhosale highlighted the significance of the event celebrating Hema Malini’s illustrious 60-year journey in Indian cinema. Known as Bollywood’s ‘Dream Girl’, Hema Malini made her debut in 1968 and delivered remarkable performances in iconic films like ‘Seeta Aur Geeta’, ‘Sholay’, ‘Dream Girl’, and ‘Baghban’. Apart from acting, she is recognized for her contributions as a Bharatanatyam dancer, filmmaker, author, and Member of Parliament from Mathura.
