The ruling NDA in Bihar responded strongly to criticism from RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav, with JD(U) spokesperson Neeraj Kumar questioning Yadav’s credibility within their alliance. Neeraj Kumar highlighted contradictions in Yadav’s statements and emphasized that his credibility was being questioned even by his own constituents.
In a separate statement, Minister Ashok Choudhary expressed the NDA’s confidence following their significant electoral victory. Choudhary stated that the coalition would respond to the political situation in its own manner, underscoring their mandate and approach to governance.
Tejashwi Yadav had accused the NDA of undermining democracy, referring to it as “dhan tantra” and “machine tantra.” He claimed that it was not his party but the people of Bihar who suffered a loss in the previous year’s Assembly elections. The NDA had emerged victorious in the November 2025 polls, defeating the RJD-led Mahagathbandhan decisively.
Minister Ashok Choudhary reiterated the NDA’s determination to address the situation following their electoral success. He emphasized the coalition’s unique perspective and approach in governing the state, reflecting their confidence post-election.
Tejashwi Yadav, who recently returned from Europe, alleged foul play in the election results and vowed to observe the NDA government’s actions for the next 100 days. He refrained from commenting on the government’s policies, expressing a wait-and-see approach to assess the fulfillment of electoral promises.
