NDA leaders strongly criticized the murder of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Suvendu Adhikari’s assistant in West Bengal, denouncing the ongoing political violence in the state. Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami emphasized that violence has no place in a democratic setup, expressing dismay over the incident. He asserted that such actions stem from frustration and emphasized the need for a peaceful political environment.
Dhami expressed optimism about the BJP’s governance in West Bengal, foreseeing improved administration under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership. He highlighted the commitment to fostering good governance, uplifting the underprivileged, and eradicating fear and intimidation from the state. The vision is to propel Bengal towards prosperity and development, as per Dhami.
Union Minister and Lok Janshakti Party-Ram Vilas Chief, Chirag Paswan, condemned the killing, labeling it as disgraceful and contradictory to the democratic will of West Bengal’s populace. He vowed that the incoming government would ensure stringent action against perpetrators associated with the TMC. BJP MP Ravi Kishan accused the TMC of resorting to violence post their electoral defeat, attributing the actions to political frustration and loss of public support.
Kishan criticized the TMC government, branding it as being controlled by criminal elements and highlighting the true nature of the party. He warned the perpetrators of severe consequences, urging them to desist from unlawful activities. The incident, where Chandranath Rath was fatally shot, has prompted a police investigation in West Bengal to ascertain the motives and identify the culprits.
