Actress Neelam Kothari, known for her roles in 80s-90s Bollywood, reminisced about the simplicity and charm of that era despite the lack of modern comforts on set. She shared in a YouTube vlog that working with Govinda, especially in dance sequences, felt like a friendly competition where they aimed to outshine each other.

Neelam expressed her preference for the bygone Bollywood era, mentioning the absence of luxuries like air-conditioning and vanity vans. Despite the challenges, she cherished the era’s beauty and straightforwardness that she misses even today. She highlighted the camaraderie and synchronization she shared with Govinda in their hit songs, particularly mentioning the iconic track ‘Aap Ke Aa Jane Se’ from the 1987 film ‘Khudgarz’.

The song featuring Neelam and Govinda became a classic dance number of its time and continues to be popular. Neelam, who debuted in 1984 with ‘Jawaani’, starred in various successful films like ‘Love 86’, ‘Ilzaam’, ‘Hatya’, and ‘Sindoor’. Her on-screen pairing with Govinda was so convincing that fans believed they were a real-life couple.
